Lucille Stansbury Aycock, 73, died June 9, 2013 at Halifax Regional Medical Center.
Mrs. Aycock was born June 28, 1939 in Halifax County to the late Ras Stansbury and Maude Carter Stansbury. She was a very independent woman and worked at Outdoor World, which had a special place in her heart, for over twenty years. She was a loving mother, who would give you the shirt off her back, and would do anything for anyone and never met a stranger; you would never leave her house hungry. She deeply loved and spoiled all her children and grandchildren. She loved God, angels and loved gardening and arranging flowers. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Aycock is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Aycock, Jr.
