
Edward Lee Cain, 66, died Saturday, June 22, 2013, at his home.
He was a U. S. Army veteran having served in Vietnam.
He was born February 17, 1947, to the late Willis James and Maybell Thompson Cain, and was also preceded in death by his brothers: Willie Gray Collins, Sydney Ray Collins, and John Collins, Jr., and a sister: Joyce Ann Cain.
He is survived by his son, Timothy Cain, and his daughter, Lisa Diane Cain, of Roanoke Rapids; his brothers, William Earl Cain of Roanoke Rapids and Willis James Cain of Danville, Virginia; his sisters: Shirley Jean Morgan, of China Grove, and Sara Mae Collins Turner, of Roanoke Rapids; his grandchildren: Bryson Watt Cain, Ella France Cain, and Aubree Grace Cain.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at 2:00 P.M, at Hockaday Funeral & Cremation Service, with Earl Cain, Minister, officiating. Burial will follow in the Love-Allen Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Monday, June 24, from 7 – 9 P.m. at the funeral home and other times at 138 Carico Road, Roanoke Rapids.
